Devon Gilfillian's fourth album, Time Will Tell, serves as a deeply personal account of life's extreme highs and lows, blending classic soul with country influences. The record was shaped by significant life events, including his father’s health struggles and the end of a long-term relationship. Recorded at Nashville's legendary RCA Studio A, the album captures raw, real-time emotions through single-take vocals and a band of session experts. Originally from Pennsylvania and now based in Nashville, Gilfillian grew up immersed in the sounds of Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles before falling in love with the guitar at 14. His music functions as a form of therapy, sharing the troubled state of his heart while looking for a way forward. Time Will Tell documents his journey through pain toward a burgeoning sense of liberation and joy.
