Panchiko is a British indie band originating from Nottingham. Formed in 1997, the group originally consisted of Owain Davies, Andy Wright, Shaun, and John. After a long hiatus, they gained unexpected internet fame in 2016 when their 1997 demo EP, D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L, was rediscovered by a listener in a charity shop. The band members were unaware of their cult following until 2020. Since then, they have reunited with new members joining the original lineup and began performing live again in 2021, marking their return after more than two decades.
