Centered around the award-winning short documentary Ali's Story, the evening expands beyond a traditional film screening to create a shared experience through archival imagery, music, conversation, and collective storytelling. Rather than looking nostalgically at New York City nightlife, the program celebrates its continuing evolution by connecting the pioneers who shaped the city's cultural identity with the artists, organizers, advocates, and communities carrying that legacy forward today.
