Pennywise is a long-standing, politically-motivated punk rock and skate-punk band from California, formed in 1988. Taking their name from the monster in Stephen King's 'It', the group has released 11 studio albums and is recognized for their hard-hitting rhythms and passionate lyrics. They have been a significant influence in the punk scene, performing at major events and featuring in video games while maintaining a message of positive mental health and social awareness. The current lineup includes Jim Lindberg, Fletcher Dragge, Byron McMackin, and Randy Bradbury, who joined following the death of founding bassist Jason Thirsk in 1996.
