Blue October is an American alternative rock band from Houston, Texas, formed in 1995. The group was established by Justin Furstenfeld alongside his brother Jeremy Furstenfeld and violinist Ryan Delahoussaye. Known for their post-grunge sound, the band gained significant commercial success with their platinum-certified 2006 album Foiled, which featured Top 40 hits. Over their decades-long career, they have released numerous studio albums, including the Steve Lillywhite-produced Approaching Normal and live acoustic projects like Ugly Side. The current lineup continues to tour extensively, maintaining a loyal following through their emotive rock style and consistent radio presence with singles like Dirt Room and Say It.
