V11 x Baroeg presents: Provisional + Thrilled + Curselifter

Rotterdam-based Provisional will release its second EP in September, which will be celebrated with a release show at V11. The international line-up of the band — with members from the Netherlands, Portugal and Brazil — may explain the variety of styles that the foursome fuses together. Modern hardcore and metal form the main part, with side trips to other genres that are seamlessly woven into the explosive sound. The shoegaze flame is kept burning by a new generation, with Thrilled as a shining example. The band has already performed at Left Of The Dial, together with Provisional on behalf of Baroeg in Rotown during the Eendracht Festival, and in April even as the support act for shoegaze pioneers Ride in TivoliVredenburg. The fact that Curselifter has shared the stage with both Pro-Pain and Ignite already indicates that the band cannot be pigeonholed into a genre. They themselves stick to metallic hardcore, albeit the idiosyncratic kind that is not inhibited by stylistic dogmas. What is certain is that there is a lot of energy radiating from it under high tension.
