Into the deep

De Diepte In (‘Into the Deep’), Eva van Manen titled her second album, a name that this multi-talented artist wholeheartedly delivers on. Through personal songs that reside in the twilight zone between soul, hip-hop, jazz, and indie-pop, Eva immerses her audience in a current of emotions and thoughts, delivered with a voice that’s both crystalline and sensual. Tonight, she shares the stage with the equally refined guitarist Rory Ronde, known for his work with Wouter Hamel and New Cool Collective. Eva van Manen is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and poet. In 2021, her debut poetry collection Hoe zijn we hier gekomen? (‘How did we get here?’) was published by Hollands Diep. Her albums, Politiek & Liefde (‘Politics & Love’, 2018) and De Diepte In (2021), showcase her ability to blend genres and styles in a quest for authenticity. Her most recent release is the intimate EP Le Hérou, recorded in a Belgian forest, exploring the beauty and fragility of the natural world. Outdoor concert This Terrace Concert is an outdoor event. The sun can be intense and the wind can be quite strong near the water, so come prepared. In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, the performance will be held indoors in the Entrance Hall, which overlooks the river IJ.
