An underground, nostalgic sludge metal night.
The 24th edition of Dutch Doom Days returns to the brand-new Baroeg venue. Since its founding in 1978, Pagan Altar has maintained its status as a cult band with a unique take on doom-laden heavy rock. Now featuring singer Brendan Radigan, they return to the festival for the first time since 2007. The lineup includes Godthrymm, known for their heartfelt, melancholic gothic doom metal, and Wolves In Winter, whose heavy, epic, and melodic sound draws comparisons to Candlemass and Cathedral. Façade brings their genre-crossing doom/death, while Sordid Empire expresses dark emotions through haunting blackened doom/death music. Opening the abyss is Afgrond, performing low-tuned riffs with growling Dutch vocals.
