Το πρόγραμμα εξερευνά τη διαδρομή του ρεμπέτικου από τις αρχές του '30 και την επιρροή του Βασίλη Τσιτσάνη, μέχρι την εξέλιξή του στο κλασικό λαϊκό τραγούδι της δεκαετίας του '50 με εκπροσώπους όπως ο Στέλιος Καζαντζίδης.
