A nostalgic, underground jazz night.
The Oskar Strock & Eddie Rosner Orchestra explores the swing and tango traditions established by their namesake founders, whose influence spanned from Eastern Europe to Japan and Finland. Once celebrated during the Weimar Republic, their works were suppressed by dictatorial regimes and nearly lost to history. Bandleader Dmitri Dragilew has reconstructed and rearranged original compositions from the 1940s to the 1970s, creating a living musical journey rather than a nostalgic copy. Performed in seven languages, the repertoire features singer Anna Lukshina alongside a quintet of trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, bass, and drums.
