An underground indie folk night.
Portland's Laura Veirs experiments with traditional bluegrass balladry to find a unique standing point in the country genre. Beyond her solo career, she is known for her 2016 collaboration with k.d. lang and Neko Case in a country-folk supergroup. Joining her is Karl Blau, a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and DIY icon who helped establish Anacortes, Washington, as a significant hub for indie music.
