An underground, gritty experimental rock night.
Guitarists Alexander Kent and Sylvie Simmons reunite in Shearling, a spiritual successor to their former project Sprain. Now expanded into a full ensemble with Andrew Chanover on percussion, Wesley Nelson on bass, and Elizabeth Carver on keyboards, the group spent their first year focusing on the creation of their debut record. Their first album, ‘Motherfucker, I am Both: “Amen” and "Hallelujah"…’, features a single hour-plus composition that maintains a mutated commitment to intensity through a collage-based approach. The band is known for aggressive live performances that balance ambition with emotional vulnerability.
