An underground neoclassical night.
DESCENT x ASCENT is a multidisciplinary performance centered around the evocative music of Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks. The work explores the opposing forces that govern our world, offering hope and comfort amidst darkness. Cello Octet Amsterdam collaborates with Brazilian choreographer Samir Calixto and the German dance ensemble Of Curious Nature to create a show that looks beyond genre boundaries. The performance continues the successful partnership between Calixto and the Octet, following their previous collaboration on Summa.
