Οι Hippomaniacs δημιουργήθηκαν το 2018 και από τότε έχουν υπάρξει από τα πιο ενεργά ελληνικά σχήματα με πολλές δυναμικές εμφανίσεις σε όλη την Ελλάδα . Με βασικές επιρροές την jazz, τα blues, την funk των 70s και μουσικές από την Αφρική, παντρεμένα με έντονα ψυχεδελικά στοιχεία, έχουν δημιουργήσει ένα ιδιαίτερο ηχητικό μείγμα βασισμένο στις δυνατές γκρούβες, τον αυτοσχεδιασμό αλλά και σε μια ιδιαίτερη ατμοσφαιρική προσέγγιση. Το πάντρεμα αυτό αποτυπώνεται σε original συνθέσεις που περιέχονται στο πρώτο τους EP εις αναμονή του πρώτου τους full-length δίσκου. Formed in 2018, Hippomaniacs have been one of Greece's most active bands, delivering many high-energy performances allover Greece. Its members are accomplished musicians with extensive collaborations and discography in Greece and abroad. Drawing primary influence from jazz, blues, 70s funk, and African music, and fusing them with strong psychedelic elements, they have crafted a unique sound grounded in powerful grooves, improvisation, and a distinctly atmospheric approach. This fusion is captured in the original compositions on their debut EP, ahead of their first full-length album currently in the works. Hippomaniacs are: Yiannis Kassetas - Tenor and baritone saxophone Panos Giotis Svobotnik - Electric guitar, FX, synths Giorgos Kostopoulos - Double bass, electric bass Leandros Fratnik - Drums Οι Τhe Halay Lamba δημιουργήθηκαν το 2014 στη Πάτρα . Στη μουσική τους συναντώνται ρυθμοί και μελωδίες από την κουλτούρα της ανατολής με επιπλεον beat και groove στοιχεία από πιο σύγχρονα μουσικά ρεύματα. Αρχική ιδέα της μπάντας είναι να δημιουργεί μουσικές που ανταποκρίνονται στα διαφορετικά ακούσματα των μελών της και τις τόσες σύγχρονες μουσικές επιρροές. Μελωδίες στο ούτι απο τον αραβικό κόσμο και τη Τουρκία πλαισιώνονται με πλούσια αρμονία λούπες και εφέ από το ηλεκτρικό μπάσο. Παραδοσιακά ρυθμικά μοτίβα μετατρέπονται σε διαφορετικές ρυθμικές φόρμες δημιουργώντας ένα νέο tribal breakbeat ηχητικό περιβάλλον.Τον Απρίλη του 2015 ηχογράφησαν το πρώτο τους δίσκο και παράλληλα κάνουν εμφανίσεις σε μουσικές σκηνές και φεστιβάλ σε διάφορες πόλεις της Ελλάδας και του εξωτερικού . Σημαντικές στιγμές της μπάντας είναι η συμμετοχή στο Houdetsi Festival 2016 και η συνεργασία τους με τον Ross Daly καθώς και οι δύο περιοδείες στο εξωτερικό Έχουν επίσης συμμετάσχει σε διοργανώσεις όπως: Kalamata Street Festival ,Houdetsi Festival Symviosis Festival , Μυτιληνη Xarkis Festival Λοφου ,Κύπρος Torino Jazz Night ,Τορίνο -Ιταλία Tatonka Festival Fessevillers ,Γαλλια Fenefest Λιμνη Δοξα ,Ελλαδα Γιαννι jazz Festival ,Eλλαδα Τον Ιανουάριο του 2019 κυκλοφορεί ο δεύτερος δίσκος του συγκροτήματος. Τhe Halay Lamba where formed in 2014 in Patra, Greece. Their music can be described as a melting pot mixing rhythms and melodies from eastern cultures, with contemporary beats and grooves. The band’s goal is to create music that can satisfy the taste and musical preference of all three members at the same time, as well as keeping up with today’s musical, rhythmic and acoustic tendencies. Melodies played on the oud from the Arabic world are backed with rich harmonies, loops and effects created on the electric bass. At the same time, traditional rhythmic motives are transformed into intricate forms, creating a new type of tribal breakbeat acoustic environment. On April 2015 they recorded their first CD. Meanwhile, they have had numerous appearances on various musical stages and festivals around Greece, January 2019 The Halay Lamba released their second album. Some important moments in the band’s curriculum include a participation in the Houdetsi Festival 2016 and a cooperation with Ross Daly, as well two tour abroad and many festivals.
