Over deze single zegt Smith zelf het volgende: “‘Lights of New York City’ pines for lost youth, a song looking back at the wide-eyed wonder held in a previous chapter of my life.” Het debuutalbum heet ‘There Is Nothing in the Dark That Isn’t There in the Light’ en verschijnt op 5 december.
