The last 45’ JAM TAKEOVER of the season is here, at the indoor space of UNDERATHENS! 🎶 Another season is coming to an end — don’t miss it. This time, the stage at UNDERATHENS will be taken over by Tanti Tomati. 🍅🔥 What follows is a letter to everyone interested, written by the beloved @luppinolu from Tanti Tomati. +++ The whole idea started when I realized my 30th birthday was approaching… 🎂 It quickly occurred to me that this is a milestone worth celebrating, which is not always how I approach birthdays. That’s not really the point of the project by the way, rather it was it’s catalyst. See, it quickly occurred to me that best way I know how to celebrate anything, is to play music with the people I like, for more of the people I like. When I saw that the date coincided with the Jam takeover, I knew we had to make this happen. This ties in with the ongoing desire I’ve had in the past year to really build a project from the ground up, and execute my vision of what a good band of cats sounds like. It’s a tremendous luck that @erai.azurath , @stathoubass and @kristerman4 all were immediately interested and available to bring that vision to life. So, we’ve prepared a nice Soul-Funk set, dare I say even a touch Smooth Jazzy. The songs we will play are all covers, but everyone of us is bringing a different personality and sensibility with every note and rest. The set-list is a cross-section of my musical influences, of the stuff that has shaped me and how I live music.
