And now the time has come: _La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés_ , his debut album, has been released, and for the celebratory tenth edition, the festival is delighted to bring the guitarist back for a solo recital. Yerai Cortés (Alicante, 1995) is one of the most talented young flamenco guitarists. His style draws from the classical gitano tradition he learned from his father, his first teacher. With his personal "soniquete" (swing), he makes the flamenco guitar tradition, "el toque," both contemporary and timeless. He challenges dancers like Farruquito and Rocío Molina with his devilish, playful rhythms and silences brimming with music. Cortés enjoys venturing into other musical worlds. He shared the stage with Cameroonian singer/bassist Richard Bona, who was a major inspiration. He toured Spain's major pop music arenas with popular rapper and songwriter C. Tangana. Tangana ultimately directed the documentary, which, like his debut album, _"La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés_ ," won two Goya Awards (the Spanish Oscars) in 2025.
