Al 57 jaar brengt Tower of Power het beste als het om funk en soul gaat. Al sinds 1968 scoort de groep hit na hit en nu komen ze deze voor het eerst laten horen in Haarlem tijdens een swingend concert dat wij samen met PHIL organiseren op maandag 25 mei! Nummers als ‘You’re Still A Young Man’, ‘Down To The Nightclub’, ‘So Very Hard To Go’ en ‘What Is Hip?’ waren destijds grote hits, de band neemt nog steeds op en tourt nog steeds hele wereld rond. Ze speelden met Otis Redding, Elton John, Santana, The Grateful Dead, John Lee Hooker, Aerosmith, Bonnie Raitt en heel veel anderen. Nu spelen ze al meer dan 50 jaar hun Oakland soul-sounds en is hun spirit onveranderd.
