Carbon Leaf’s brand of “ether-electrified porch music” bridges roots, Americana, and pop traditions with folk-inspired songwriting and an indie-rock drive. Now in their 33rd year as an independent band—with 21 releases to their name—the Virginia quintet delivers a high-energy set featuring acoustic and electric guitars, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and rich vocal harmonies. Shaky Feelin’ is a high-energy jam band mixing elements of rock, reggae, bluegrass, and funk. Drawing inspiration from groups like Phish and the Grateful Dead, they deliver a unique sound characterized by strong musicianship and improvisational experimentation.
