Dudù Kouate, born in Dakar, Senegal, is a master of over 200 traditional African instruments and a descendant of a griot family. Since 1988, he has toured internationally, serving as a key member of the Art Ensemble of Chicago since 2017. Currently based in Berlin after decades in Italy, he blends Afro free jazz with traditional influences, as showcased in his album 'Africation'. His interdisciplinary work spans cinema, theater, and poetry.
