Knits & Notes: Looping Sounds

Knits & Notes returns to Werkplaats during ADE with Looping Sounds — an interactive textile installation and knitting rave in one. A multisensory experience where sound, light and fiber come together, inviting visitors to craft, knit or stitch while the music plays. The installation, created by textile artist Ana Maria Suso, is open to the public throughout ADE. It’s a living artwork — growing as people contribute their own stitches. A custom soundscape and lighting setup enhance the meditative, tactile atmosphere. On Saturday evening, the installation transforms into a vibrant dancefloor. From 18:00 to 23:00, a custom-built DJ booth will be surrounded by knitters, makers and dancers alike. Expect an energizing DJ line-up and a crowd weaving rhythms together — both musically and materially.
