Welcome to The New Renaissance and another edition of SWAAM Spoken Word Art & Music. This event features an open mic, a live band, and a wine bar. The featured artist for this edition is Carmen Cané, an Afro-Latina poet from Los Angeles whose work examines identity, love, loss, and cultural heritage. Drawing from Mexican and Cuban roots, her poetry focuses on resilience and transformation as explored in her debut collection, Daughter of Love & Legacy.
