Intieme geluidscollages van veelzijdige maker uit LA Er is iets onweerstaanbaars aan de intieme soundscapes van claire rousay. Voor haar geluidscollages gebruikt rousay akoestische instrumenten, maar vooral ook alledaagse geluiden die ze zelf opneemt wanneer het schemert. Met haar kenmerkend warme, knisperende elektronische sound weeft ze tracks die tegelijk vervreemdend en vertrouwd zijn. Claire rousay is geboren in Canada en woont en werkt in Los Angeles. Naast haar studiowerk maakte ze muziek bij verschillende films. Op het album sentiment (2024) koos rousay een meer pop-georiënteerde benadering met ‘echte’ liedjes. Op a little death keerde ze terug naar de kern van kunstenaarschap, als solo-schilder van klanklandschappen. Het album vormt een trilogie met a heavenly touch en a softer focus.
