F.O.D. (BE) + FOR I AM (BE)

On Friday 30 January, two Belgian punk rock bands will come to De Kroepoekfabriek: F.O.D. and For I Am. On December 5, a Split LP will be released by both bands. Of course, it will also be played live. This is the only show in the Netherlands of this tour of both bands! F.O.D. makes punk rock with harmonies and catchy melodies, inspired by legendary predecessors from the 90s, such as Green Day, Descendents, Lagwagon and Bad Religion, to which they give their unmistakable twist. The band played all over the world, with highlights being a tour through Canada, Japan and Europe and supporting SUM41, Lagwagon, Satanic Surfers, No Fun At All and Frenzal Rhomb. All this brought them to the main stages of the major punk rock festivals all over Europe. Their fifth album was released in March 2020, at the beginning of a global pandemic. This narrative double album ignored the boundaries of punk rock and took the listener on a musical journey, accompanied by a book. Unfortunately, due to Covid, it didn't get the release party and tours it deserved. In 2022, the band announced a short hibernation, but in 2024 the sixth album was released: "The Once A Virgin Club". It brings the band back to their old familiar path with fast, catchy, melodic punk rock songs full of harmonies. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the band was unable to tour extensively after this release. Now the band finally comes with a tour to finally play their raw and authentic sound again. Sinds hun allereerste live show in 2014, is For I Am uitgegroeid tot een van de meest gekende en actieve bands uit de Belgische punkscene. Bekend om hun snelle, krachtige punksongs met catchy melodieën die je niet snel uit je hoofd krijgt. Ze speelden tours door Europa, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Japan. Ook hebben ze support verzorgd voor o.a. Lagwagon, Propagandhi, Frenzal Rhomb, Strung Out en Satanic Surfers. 2019 was een topjaar voor de band. Met hun tweede album “Late Bloomers” vers op zak speelden ze op onder andere Groezrock, El Topo Goes Loco, Brakrock en Punk Rock Holiday. Daarnaast speelden ze nog een aantal grotere internationale shows in Japan, Duitsland, Engeland en Nederland. In 2024 kwam hun derde album uit: “The Righteous & The Wicked”, geproduceerd door Tim Van Doorn. Met dit album groeien ze opnieuw in hun professionaliteit en songwriting skills. Op 5 december komt de Split EP van beide bands uit waar uiteraard veel van wordt gespeeld op 30 januari in De Kroepoekfabriek!
