A nostalgic, slow-burn chanson night.
“There is one virtue that I love dearly. It is called obstinacy,” Hermann Hesse once wrote. Inspired by this, this evening is dedicated to the quality of obstinacy, explored from unusual perspectives—melancholic, humorous, profound, whimsical. Texts by Hermann Hesse, Paul Watzlawick, Langston Hughes, and others are recited and sung by actress Kerstin Reimann and Bertolt Karsten Troyke, known for Jewish songs, who brings poems set to music as well as original songs.
