A nostalgic, raw baroque night.
The music of Tom Coult imagines new worlds – sensuous and strange, delicate and playful, rich and full of wonder. In this new work for the final concert in Wigmore Hall’s Voices of Today series, an old American ballad is filtered through the rhetoric of German Baroque music. The programme features works by Dieterich Buxtehude and Johann Sebastian Bach, alongside a world première commission by Tom Coult.
