Each edition, we welcome fabulous jazz musicians. Whether it’s the renowned Amsterdam Jazz Trio (Jochem Braat on piano, Tijn Jans on drums, and Adrie Braat on double bass), intimate duos, or special guests ranging from saxophonists to jazz singers and vibraphonists – expect an evening filled with top-tier jazz. This week the Erik Verweij Trio will be musical guests. Jazz Thursdays welcomes the Erik Verwey Trio (Erik Verwey on pianom, Hendrik Müller on double bass and Daniel van Dalen on drums), a dynamic jazz piano trio from Amsterdam. Known for their fresh, rhythmic approach, they blend traditional jazz with influences from classical music, film scores, and songwriting. With their 2020 debut album People Flow, the trio received international acclaim, followed by their 2023 release About a Home, featuring renowned chromatic harmonica player Hermine Deurloo. Both albums earned glowing reviews worldwide. Regularly performing on international stages, the trio is now bringing their signature sound to Volkshotel—just five minutes from home!
