Celebrated by The Recording Academy with Lifetime Achievement Awards and winners of six GRAMMY Awards, they have defined the gospel sound for over 70 years. Known for crossing musical boundaries, the group performs everything from traditional gospel favorites to contemporary spiritual material by songwriters like Eric Clapton and Prince. Their latest album, 'Echoes Of The South,' was recorded in Muscle Shoals and won a GRAMMY for Best Roots Gospel Album in 2024. The group remains a powerful force in modern music, continuing to perform and innovate decades after their start at the Alabama Institute for the Negro Blind.
