Joe Sanders’ Parallels ft. Logan Richardson, Seamus Blake & Greg Hutchinson

American all-star band led by renowned double bassist, who balances melody and freedom. For Joe Sanders, Parallels started with an improvised solo he played as an encore at a concert, after which the audience kept singing the melody. On the eponymous album he lets different ideas coexist. Beautiful tunes and experimental sounds, for example, or a dark atmosphere and a cheerful tonality, but also amateurism and professionalism: on the track ‘La vie sur la terre’ his little son Elioté plays along on melodica. Parallels developed into a band featuring absolute masters of American jazz: Seamus Blake, Gregory Hutchinson and Logan Richardson have each built their own impressive career as a band leader. Joes Sanders has previously performed on our stage in the bands of Gerald Clayton, Kendrick Scott and Ben Wendel, among others. In 2023 he made his first appearance with saxophone giant Joshua Redman on the Blue Note album Where Are We.
