A special 50th anniversary celebration of the million-selling 1976 album 'Wake Up Everybody'. Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes continue to captivate audiences with their signature blend of soulful harmonies and heartfelt emotion. The show features classics like "Don’t Leave Me This Way," which became a massive hit and the biggest selling single of 1986 in the UK for The Communards. The current lineup features Donnell “Big Daddy” Gillespie, the last living lead singer to perform with Harold Melvin, alongside John Morris, Dave Echo, Tyrone Burwell, and Keith Matthews, keeping the timeless spirit of Philadelphia soul alive for new generations. Special guests SouLutions, a modern soul outfit from the North East of England, join the show. Known for their tracks like "Listen," the band has released numerous hits over the past decade and has previously supported soul legends such as Shalamar and Change.
