Irish folk singer Damien Dempsey returns to the stage for a headline show at KOKO. Born and raised in Donaghmede, Dempsey transitioned from boxing to music, releasing his debut album in 2000. Known for his intense working relationship with producer John Reynolds, he has produced multiple chart-topping albums and a celebrated documentary. His latest work, the double album Hold Your Joy (2024), is considered his most complete achievement to date. Dempsey is renowned for legendary live performances that aim to capture the energy of a communal singalong, making him one of modern Irish music's most respected figures.
