Micah Thomas presents a performance of his album Lucid, featuring an ensemble of acclaimed jazz musicians. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Thomas began his musical journey at a young age, eventually receiving a Master of Music from the Juilliard School. He has established himself as a prominent figure in the contemporary jazz scene, performing internationally both as a leader and a sideman for notable artists like Joshua Redman and Ambrose Akinmusire. His debut album Tide was met with critical acclaim, followed by his solo piano record and his most recent release, Mountains. Thomas has been recognized as a leading figure for the future of jazz by various publications. In addition to his performing career, he is an active educator at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
