A slow-burn, underground contemporary classical night.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and vocalist joins forces with the pioneering Scottish Ensemble in a rare collaboration that places the artist's voice at its heart. Singing her own music, including songs inspired by Scottish texts, Caroline Shaw's distinctive sound world is set alongside works by JS Bach, John Adams and Philip Glass. From baroque to minimalism, the programme spans centuries and gently dissolves the boundaries between past and present.
