Trumpeter, rapper and sonic wanderer Pan Amsterdam has carved out one of the most distinctive voices operating at the intersection of jazz and hip-hop today. Under the alias, Leron Thomas draws from decades of musical exploration, weaving together loose-limbed beats, experimental production and vividly imagined lyricism. The result is a catalogue that feels both deeply rooted in Black American musical tradition and completely untethered by convention.
