After bringing 'Subida Infinita' to Portugal in 2024, Capitão Fausto is coming back to Melkweg. Hailing from Lisbon, Capitão Fausto are a defining band of their generation, known for their originality and creativity within Portugal’s vibrant music scene. Their latest album, 'Subida Infinita', released via Cuca Monga, is a mellow yet powerful reflection on the intense years they’ve lived through. It also marks the departure of longtime member Francisco Ferreira, a moment woven into the album’s ten tracks, including a special collaboration with Tim Bernardes on 'Cantiga Infinita'. As co-founders of the record label and artistic collective Cuca Monga, Capitão Fausto have helped shape Portugal’s independent music scene, launching some of its most exciting new artists.
