SUUNS is een experimentele rockband uit Canada, opgericht in 2007 rond het duo Ben Shemie en Joe Yarmush. Hun geluid balanceert tussen toegankelijk en vervreemdend: donkere elektronica, pulserende beats en strakke rockpatronen dragen zanger Ben Shemie’s fluisterende vocalen. Debuutplaat Zeroes QC uit 2010 zette de toon met een hypnotische, fysieke energie die live volledig tot zijn recht komt. De band laat overal waar ze ter wereld komen een overweldigende indruk achter en heeft in de afgelopen zestien jaar dan ook een flinke reputatie als liveband opgebouwd. Hun meest recente album The Breaks stamt uit 2024 en laat een band horen die blijft zoeken naar spanning tussen melodie en experiment, dansbaarheid en vervreemding.
