De Oekraïense pianist en componist Vadim Neselovskyi, door The Guardian geprezen voor zijn extraordinary playing, presenteert zijn nieuwe suite Perseverantia voor piano en strijktrio. Hoewel hij inspiratie haalt uit de aanhoudende tragedie in Oekraïne, overstijgt Perseverantia de politiek; het is een ode aan moed en hoop in tijden van strijd. Muzikaal beweegt de suite zich tussen de lyriek van Oost-Europese volksmuziek vermengd met avant-garde, minimalisme en metal-achtige grooves. Het album, geproduceeerd door John Zorn, verschijnt in februari op Tzadik Records. Het is opgenomen in de Bethlehemkerk in Amsterdam met het Ysaÿe Trio, bestaande uit Rada Ovcharova op viool, Emlyn Stam op altviool en Willem Stam op cello.
