Als grandioze afsluiter van het seizoen verwelkomen we de volgende solist uit ons Meestersproject. Waar we in eerdere seizoenen de eer hadden om met grootheden als Maxim Vengerov en Mikhail Pletnev op te treden, presenteren we ditmaal een unieke samenwerking met de Zuid-Afrikaanse sopraan Pretty Yende. Zij zal het publiek in De Doelen betoveren met haar innemende aanwezigheid en adembenemende stem. Wie haar ooit heeft horen zingen, bijvoorbeeld tijdens de heropening van de Notre Dame in Parijs, weet hoe zij harten weet te raken met haar ongeëvenaarde talent. Voor onze dirigent Conrad van Alphen is dit concert extra bijzonder, omdat hij samen met zijn landgenoot Pretty Yende op het podium in Rotterdam zal staan. Een avond om niet te missen!
