A nostalgic blues night.
Finnish-born, Berlin-based artist Ina Forsman presents her most personal and dynamic album to date, After Dark Hour. A leading voice in the European roots scene, she combines honey-sweet vocals with explosive energy. Recorded in Helsinki with a team of Finnish musicians and produced by Michael Bleu, the record is infused with retro soul, funk, Motown-inspired grooves, and R&B. After a year of creative stagnation, the title track sparked a journey of rediscovery and resilience. The album is designed to capture the energy of her live performances, offering an eclectic mix of sounds ranging from power ballads to James Brown-style funk explosions and cinematic arrangements with horns and gospel-inspired backing vocals. Her music serves as a groove-driven soundtrack for dancing through life's darker moments.
