A slow-burn, underground contemporary classical night.
A single-act chamber opera composed by Britta Byström with a libretto by Peter Bäckström. Based on Homer's story of Odysseus and Penelope, the performance explores Penelope's nocturnal dreams and their impact on her daily life as she awaits her husband's return from the Trojan War. The piece is performed by Score Collective, an ensemble from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam dedicated to contemporary music from the last seventy years as well as new student compositions.
