Witch Post Live at Doka Amsterdam

Witch Post is the collaborative project of Scottish artist Dylan Fraser and American musician Alaska Reid. Hailing from towns with the same name—one in Scotland, the other in Montana—the two met by chance, each having already established their own solo career. By coincidence, they also discovered they shared this hometown connection. Alaska emerges from the American indie scene, while Dylan comes from the UK’s alternative scene. Witch Post aims to reclaim the essence of band music. They write songs that honor the fierce qualities of Scottish rock ‘n’ roll and the driving openness of American music. The name Witch Post is derived from 17th-century woodcarvings found in rural England, which were created to ward off witches. Alaska and Dylan adopted the name in honor of the witch. Through songwriting, they explore the structure of the world and their own emotions.
