John Grant

The American singer and musician John Grant led the country-meets-dreampop band The Czars. After the band disbanded, he collaborated with Midlake and Flaming Lips, and in 2010 he debuted with his solo album 'Queen of Denmark', showcasing his distinctive baritone voice. While initially staying close to The Czars' countrypop sound, Grant later incorporated more of his enduring love for synthpop and industrial music on albums like 'Gray Tickles' and 'Boy from Michigan'. Last year, he rediscovered his passion for countrypop in his collaboration with CMAT. Tonight will be dedicated to his latest work 'The Art Of The Lie', set to be released in June 2024. This album, born out of a collaboration with producer Ivor Guest, reflects John Grant's humorous take on life, while delving into profound themes such as politics and parenthood.
