Marcelo Umaña takes you on a funky trip around the world with his international rhythms and melodies. In the 90’s, Marcelo was part of the electronic music scene in his home country Chile where he worked with artists such as Ricardo Villalobos and Luciano. Marcelo warms up the restaurant for the weekend with his surprising sets! Martien V. (Martien Verheyden) was born and raised in Amsterdam. Her life is one long musical journey. She grew up with classical music: as a child, she played piano and drums. Soon, she began exploring different music styles and developed a great passion for electronic music in general, and house music in particular. She has a strong preference for the “Oldskool sound” of Detroit and Chicago: House & Deephouse. Martien says she was very fortunate to experience and be part of the early house music scene in Amsterdam, in clubs like Roxy and Mazzo. Her deep passion for house music was born there. Although Martien prefers spinning underground deephouse and house, she also enjoys playing disco, soul, funk, hip-hop, and jazz. She does not play “hits,” “requests,” or commercial music.
