Chuck Fenda, born Leshorn Whitehead, is an international reggae artist with a career spanning nearly three decades. Raised in both Brooklyn (USA) and St. Catherine (Jamaica), he began his musical journey in the 1990s. His debut single, Jah, It’s All About You, was released in 1997, paving the way for his global breakthrough with hits like I Swear, Life Ruff Out Deh, and Are You Coming Over Tonight?, which remained in the Top 30 for 26 weeks. Known as the "Poor People Defender," Chuck Fenda focuses on socially conscious and spiritual reggae, deeply rooted in his Rastafarian lifestyle and Jamaican heritage. Through his music, he spreads positive messages and advocates for women and children, as heard in his recent hit Heartless, released in November '23. He also supports youth through the Chuck Fenda Foundation. His song Are You Coming Over Tonight?, featuring Cherine Anderson, highlights his "afromantic" style, celebrating Black women. With performances at major festivals such as Sting and Rebel Salute, Chuck Fenda has built a loyal fanbase worldwide. His hit All About The Weed was even featured in the video game GTA IV, which sold over 175 million copies. In '22, he played to sold-out crowds during the Eternal Fire tour across the U.S., culminating in a performance for 100,000 people at the Boston Freedom Rally. His latest album, Eternal Fire, features tracks like One Burner and You Saved Me, reigniting the essence of reggae music.
