The 18th instalment of Black Rhino Residency at Control comes in full force on April 19, mixing the sound pressure of dub with the uptempo energy of jungle music. This session, we will witness a mix of Bristol vibes represented by Gorgon Sound with Rider Shafique on the microphone and the London sound with Tim Reaper going shoulder to shoulder with Blackeye MC. This is one for the books, as both crews come to Romania for the first time in this formula. Gorgon Sound is a sound system reggae project made up of infamous producers and selectors Kahn & Neek. Hailing from Bristol U.K, their sound is firmly rooted in the city's famous heritage of sound system music, while at the same time fusing it with their own unique, bass-heavy style. Gorgon Sound is a strictly dubplate and vinyl operation, closely following and respecting the culture of roots and reggae music. The acclaimed debut Gorgon Sound release, Find Jah Way, was released on Peng Sound Records, and was closely followed by a self-titled EP, both of them inspiring many versions and remixes (most notably those of key-collaborator and previous Black Rhino Residency guest, Dubkasm).
