A nostalgic, raw baroque night.
Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt, celebrated for her expressive focus, joins members of the Dunedin Consort for an enchanting programme of classical works. Having debuted her fortepiano performance at Wigmore Hall in 2024, Hewitt returns to the instrument to perform two contrasting concertos: an emotionally stormy mid-1740s work by CPE Bach and one of Mozart’s most intimate compositions for keyboard and ensemble. The programme also features Haydn’s Symphony No. 6 'Le matin' and a sinfonie by Marianne Martínez, highlighting the rich musical landscape of the 18th century.
