An underground free jazz night.
Eminent scholars of experimental music celebrate the publication of The Scores Project: Experimental Notation in Music, Art, Poetry, and Dance with a panel discussion, followed by a Q&A and live performances of experimental scores by members of the ensemble The Rise of the Novel. The digital publication provides a global view of experimental music scores from the 1960s, featuring works by John Cage, George Brecht, and many others alongside a complete digitized archive of historical ephemera. A livestream will be available free of charge on the day of the performance and archived for future viewing.
