An underground classical night.
Turkish pianist Can Çakmur, winner of the Hamamatsu and Scottish International Piano Competitions, performs a recital featuring works by Helmut Lachenmann, Liszt, and Schubert. The programme centers on Schubert’s 4 Impromptus D899, paired with Lachenmann’s Variations on a Theme of Schubert and Liszt’s impassioned ‘Vallée d’Obermann’ from the Swiss years of his Années de pèlerinage.
