From the fringes of club culture to experimental, goth electronics and other decadent journeys. between the decay of our utopias, beneath our projective futurisms, inside our tools of control, how can we become sensitive to these mutant forms of emerging otherness, and conceive different relationships with a world we don't yet know? \\ The idea behind MUTANT MODALITY is linked to a questioning of how, as artists, we do not create in a way that is disconnected from the world in which we live. On the contrary, we are networks of influences, ideologies, visions, situations. MUTANT MODALITY commits to creating for and with people, in times and spaces that we will experiment together. And for these reasons, we understand our role as a commitment to being activists, perhaps aesthetic activists, or sensory/meaning destroyers/activators. This means a promise to engage critically with blind spots and fears in order to see, feel and hear things differently. Here, feelings are not only the perception, but an ambiguous kind of knowledge that is necessarily embodied, transformative, and involves intimacy with things.
