An underground post-rock night.
An explosive night of post rock and heavy guitar music lands in London at The Grace, Islington. Gothenburg/Malmö-based post rock power trio Barrens return with Corpse Lights, their second full-length release. The album strikes a balance between light and dark, beauty and brutality, using shimmering synthesizers and sprawling guitars to guide listeners through five years of highs and lows. Joining them are Gothenburg 4-piece Blessings, who merge disparate ends of heavy guitar music into a cohesive sound. Drowned in elements of hardcore, punk, crust, and noise rock, their sound draws comparisons to At The Drive In and Converge. The band members come from a DIY punk/hardcore background, having performed in various hard-touring bands.
